Mary Fisher’s dance training began at Chamberlain School of Ballet. As a student at Collin College, Mary took a modern dance class on a whim, and she continued to take dance courses for the entirety of her studies at Collin College. After graduating with an Associate of Science degree, she transferred to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where she graduated summa cum laude with a B.F.A. in Dance. Notable dance credits from her time at SHSU include working with Dana Nicolay of Nicolay Dance Works (Huntsville), Andy and Dionne Noble of NobleMotion Dance (Houston), Rasika Borse from Soul Feet Dance Productions (Canada), and Jared Doster and Victoria DeRenzo, both former dancers of the internationally known Pilobolus Dance Theatre (Connecticut). When not performing concert dance, Mary also enjoys performing in musicals. She was assistant choreographer for McKinney Summer Musicals’ production of Oklahoma! in 2017. Her dance performance in the show garnered 4 Okies including “Best Triple Threat.” Mary is also a Pilates instructor at Equinox Preston Hollow and Club Pilates in Las Colinas.
“I always knew that I loved dance more than anything. After a series of setbacks, I unsuccessfully tried to convince myself that dancing wasn’t my dream. I am proud to be dancing with this company and making a life in dance.” - Mary
